Hair colouring is an art form. At ARKIVE by Adam Reed, it’s not about taking the traditional route of booking in for a specific colour service like balayage or half-head highlights. Our colour artists prefer to spend time talking through end looks and recommending a curated mix of professional techniques and L’Oreal Professionel hair colours to create your perfect look.

Instinctive Cutting

We don’t believe in following a set approach – being open-minded and fluid is part of how we do things. Getting the right result means being creative, communicative and in tune with our clients. A specific style might demand some dry cutting, a new product or the use of a razor. Our stylists instinctively know what works and it’s their job to make sure you trust them and are on board with their creative direction.

We’re fairly relaxed, but have a few house rules that keep things running smoothly and help us deliver the best service possible.

Please make sure you read them before booking an appointment.

All Colour Services must be followed by either a Post Colour Blow Dry or a Cut & Finish Service.

CONSULTATION: Check us out before you check in. Pop into the salon for a quick chat with your stylist before making a booking.

PATCH TEST: We insist on a patch test for any technical services. Just pop into the salon at least 48 hours before your appointment and we’ll take care of it. If you’re coming in for a consultation, it makes sense to get it done then.

DEPOSITS: All bookings require a minimum of a 50% deposit to secure the appointment

CANCELLATIONS: We know that things come up and you may need to cancel your appointment. Please give us as much notice as possible so we have time to fill your slot.
Our cancellation policy is as follows:

48 hours — no charge.
24 hours — 50% charge.
No show — 100% charge.

TIMELINESS: We do our best to run a tight ship, so if you’re late, it affects everyone. Why not arrive 15 minutes earlier and grab a cuppa? You’ll be very welcome. Timeliness makes us happy.

PAYMENT: We welcome all major credit/debit cards and ARKIVE by Adam Reed gift cards. You can also pay over the phone and we welcome cash.

GIFT VOUCHERS: Our Gift Vouchers come in multiples of £20. Have a word with our front of house team for more information.
